Akasha has been a member of Yaleil since 1997. Prior to this engagement, she was an established performer with Troupe Mesmerasha, directed by Mesmera, with whom Akasha first began her bellydance studies.

With 12 years of performing experience, Akasha has been spotted at numerous restaurants, theatre, concert and private parties on both coasts. Some highlights include her current contract at Café Plaka in Huntington Beach and Invitation to India in Redondo Beach. Stevie Wonder, Will Smith, Candace Bergen, Drew Barrymore and Nicholas Cage are just a few of the people she has had the privelage to perform for. She was also invited to be the primary dancer on music video entitled: Singing the Wheel of the Year.

In addition to her talents as a dancer, Akasha is a wife, mother, and gifted artist specializing in mixed media, collage, silver/beaded jewelry, textiles and rubberstamping! She calls herself the "rubberstampin'bellydancer." She holds quarterly art workshops at her studio and teaches the art of rubberstamping once a month to an established club of rubberstampers. Her creations have been published in several paper art magazines and two books.

Akasha is now acting as the Director / Producer of Yaleil - L.A.
