Mariela, of Argentinean background, began her belly dance studies with Ansuya three years ago. With many successful class performances and recitals under her belt, Mariela joined Yaleil in spring of 2001. She gave her debut performance at Cairo Carnivale, and was a hit in this year's Ojai concert, "Gypsy Sugar."
