In this DVD, Ansuya will help you take your finger cymbal playing to an advanced level
as she teaches you the 6/8, 9/8, Masmoudi, Ayoub, and Beledi (4/4) patterns, as well as using Singles for accents.
Demonstration and Technique
She breaks down each finger cymbal pattern with easy-to-follow demonstrations and explanations and then picks up the speed as you follow along with the music. Each finger cymbal pattern is accompanied by movements that fit the pattern, so you can perfect your playing while you dance!

Then join Ansuya in a practice drill to master each pattern and perfect your transitions from one finger cymbal pattern and its movements to another.
Zill Drill
Ansuya will also show you how to introduce variations in your finger cymbal patterns, including varying the sounds your finger cymbals make. Then she’ll lead you through blending rhythms and improvising to have fun and add your own interpretations to the music!

Finally, Ansuya will perform using her finger cymbals to show you how she adds musical energy and excitement to her dance!
