Founded in 1980 by renowned dancer Jenaeni Rathor, Yaleil's elegant and sultry choreographies continue to thrive today, featuring star dancer Ansuya (Jenaeni's daughter). The mother/daughter team co-direct this troupe, known for it's well trained, fit and fearless cast who's performances push the envelope in the realm of sensual feminine expression, while paying close attention to detail, polish, and class.

As choreographers, Ansuya and Jenaeni blend complicated techniques from Egyptian, Turkish, Gypsy, Tribal, and Cabaret styles. They also will include and adapt moves from other dance styles such as Indian, Persian, Brazillian, Afro - Cuban, Spanish, and Modern Urban styles. Many of their moves are originals, created from years of experience and a love for the art.

Yaleil had the honor of being the headliner entertainment at the launch party for the Bollywood feature film "The Return of The Theif of Bagdad," held at the Taj Coromendal Hotel in Madras, India. They have been the entertainment for such Hollywood events as Drew Barrymore's Birthday (held at hot spot "Noura Café" on Melrose in Hollywood), and corporate parties for many companies, including Taco Bell. The troupe regularly performs at the well known Arabic restaurants in the L.A. area, including "Al Amir" in Beverly Hills. Yaleil continues to enjoy return performances at the Belly Dancing community's established conventions, such as Cairo Carnivale and Rakkasah. Their 2000 concert "Yaleil Comes Home," featured three two-hour performances of original choreographies, incorporating props from fans to swords, and interpretations of music from Morocco to Brazil, was greeted with three standing ovations and an invitation to do a repeat performance at the annual Middle Eastern Culture and Dance Association (MECDA) anniversary party.

The dancers of Yaleil are Ansuya, Akasha, Mikaela, Tahiya, and Mariela. Each enjoy a list of credits as soloists, including performances abroad in India, Hawaii, and Egypt, as well as locally in such restaurants as Chasens, Spagos, Al Amir, Noura Café, Invitation to India, The Caspian, and Byblos.

Yaleil is available to perform in film and television, at wrap parties, concerts, corporate events, special occasions, festivals, and private parties on land or water.
