More About BBM
I have a love for all styles of Bellydance, but have long felt that having a basis in Cabaret style Bellydance has given me a technical edge. The physical arrangements of posture, positioning, weight placement, oppositional preparation, gravitational awareness, muscle engagement, and transitional flow, that was conditioned into me by my American Cabaret lineage of teachers, has allowed me a vital range of motion, energetic projection, and emotional expression. This has helped me to win over audiences and gain respect, even from the most "skeptical of Bellydance" audiences.
This has given me the chance to deliver the art of Bellydance in high end theatrical venues, to collaborate with fitness professionals, and to generally feel like I can take a dance, that is sometimes thought of as a non-technical hobby, and, with one move, show that it can be a sophisticated art form and serious profession.
This program and mission is about spreading these technical tools to as many dedicated Bellydancers as possible so that, with each move they make, they can experience the rich joy of technically powered expression, while simultaneously having a positive effect and influence on the art at large.
Whether it be to fine tune or reengineer, or simply to start off on strong ground, this program works to put a powerful base under any and all styles of Bellydance.
