Bellydance Performance Circle
Live on Zoom!
To be able to perform a complete Bellydance Cabaret Improvisation is considered by my lineage of teachers to be the quintessential mark of a Bellydance professional! Therefore, I bring to you the very class format that I grew up drilling my Bellydance Cabaret Improv performance skills within! It's my honor to continue this training style lineage!
In the first class of the session, you will learn the secrets of improvisation for one section of a cabaret.
In the remaining classes, you will be given the opportunity to improvise a full cabaret and receive feedback from instructor (that's me!)
This will be followed by a featured soloist who can perform the section of the cabaret that is being focused on, in full costume if desired, and receive feedback from instructor and classmates. You don't have to solo - but you will want to!
This is your chance to improvise a full cabaret on a weekly basis which is key to unlocking your full creative potential and perfecting your craft! It is also your chance to practice performing your improvised solo for an audience made up of your classmates and instructor which is ideal training ground!
Fast opening, veil dance, slow standing work, and drum solo subjects will be covered! Plus bonus prop and fusion subjects! Each subject will take one 10 week session to cover.
Further explanation of how the content will flow:

“I have learned so much and have gained 💯% confidence in performing a full improvised bellydance cabaret!
I even had the opportunity to perform New Year's Eve at a local restaurant and now they want me on the schedule! 🤩” - Amber Gamal |
Recently, I had an experience where the music I planned to dance to was replaced by a song I had never heard before.
Knowing that I had the tools and skills thanks to my participation in Ansuya’s Bellydance Performance Circle, I stepped on to the stage without fear and delivered an amazing performance. To me, this was the real life benefit of this class. - Farasha Photo credit: Ron Mailloux |
